PA Hollingworth & Co have been building SPATA Approved quality swimming pools in Kent for many years. Working in partnership with Oasis Swimming Pools Kent Ltd we have completed many stunning indoor and outdoor projects for clients throughout Kent. In particular, it is worthy of mention that as a construction company we can offer the complete project from start to finish without the need for you to find and link together the various trades you may need for your project.
Liner Pools
These pools are amongst the most common built today in the UK. They are a very cost-effective way of achieving an in-ground swimming pool in your own garden suitable for either indoor or outdoor use.
The liner pools constructed by PA Hollingworth & Co are formed concrete blockwork built off traditional foundations at the bottom of the excavation which provides a more permanent structure than the panel pools often seen. These walls form the structure shape, which can be traditional like a rectangle, or, in a limited free-form shape, also worthy of mention is that when finished they look exactly the same as the more expensive solid concrete pools in terms of pool coping and surround whereas the panel pools are limited to the edge coping detail and steps.
The structure of these pools is not waterproof hence a liner must be used and whilst tiling these pools is not an option there is a wide range of quality liners available printed in various shades and styles. These liners can be either those made off-site which is vacuumed into place or a tailored liner fitted on site which can be used for free-form steps and provide an even better, more upmarket finish.
These liners vary in warranty from 8-10 years to 20 plus years, depending on your budget and requirements. Often all the liners far exceed their warranty periods if the pool water quality is carefully managed. When it comes to refurbishment or replacement of the liner, it’s a simple exercise which keeps the cost of refurbishment down.
Concrete Tiled or Painted Pools
These pools are built from solid reinforced concrete which forms the waterproof structure. This structure then requires a render coat which can be either painted or finished with a ceramic tile design of your choosing. Whilst more expensive than the liner pool option, these pools are built for discerning clients who require the particular look and feel of this traditional pool, often built to go with the larger more luxurious homes.
