Groundworker
Rate per hour: Dependent on experience
Duties and Responsibilities: You should be an experienced groundworker, capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision.
Qualifications and Experience: You must be a skilled groundworker with a great eye to detail and finishing. Ideally, with 5+ years relevant experience, with a current CSCS card. A good attitude & strong work ethic and good health and safety knowledge. Pay according to experience. References required.

Tiling Apprentice
Rate per hour: Dependent on experience
Duties and Responsibilities: This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work with a highly qualified and Master Tiler with over 40 years of experience. Day-to-day, you will:
- work along side the Tiler
- repair or remove old tiles and surfaces
- prepare surfaces by levelling off with plaster, sand or cement
- mark out the area to estimate the amount of tiles and adhesive needed
- cut tiles to size and shape with hand-cutters or bench-mounted tools
- fix tiles in place and apply adhesives before finishing
Working environment: You could work at a client’s home, at a client’s business or on a construction site. Your working environment may be dusty, noisy and physically demanding. You will need to wear safety clothing and use safety equipment.
Qualifications and Experience: You’ll need:
- to be thorough and pay attention to detail
- the ability to work on your own
- the ability to work well with others
- the ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure
- knowledge of building and construction
- the ability to work well with your hands
- the ability to organise your time and workload
- at least a grade 5 in Maths

Duties and Responsibilities: You should be an experienced groundworker, capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision. Sometimes you would be with a gang of workers on a large project, but equally, you may be required to attend a property as the only groundworker to complete a task.
Qualifications and Experience: You must be a skilled groundworker with a great eye to detail and finishing and be capable of working without supervision (this is not an “improvers” position).
With 10+ years relevant experience, with a current CSCS card, a good attitude & strong work ethic and good health and safety knowledge. You must have demonstrated excellent paving/slabbing work as this is an essential part of the job in addition to footings and drainage. Pay according to experience. References required.

Duties and Responsibilities: As a medium-sized family business we work on projects such as Extensions & Refurbishments, New Builds, and commercial projects in the East Kent area. Your duties and responsibilities will, therefore, be varied and include first fix, second fix, kitchen fitting, roofing, fitting staircases etc. so an excellent all-around skills base is essential. Good general knowledge of the building trade advantageous.
Qualifications and Experience: At least 15 years experience in Carpentry. Must be able to work to specifications and guidelines and stick to deadlines. You need to be self-motivated and can work well as part of a team or on your own. Full driving license.

Construction Multi-trader – Bricklaying/Groundwork specialism

Duties and Responsibilities: We currently have a vacancy for a Multi-trade operative to join our team who has a primary trade in Bricklaying and Groundworks to a high standard and speed.
The role will be on a multi-trade basis with the successful applicant needing a minimum of City and Guilds qualification in the primary trade or equivalent work experience and enough knowledge/experience to complete works to a high standard.
Duties will vary but will include groundworks and bricklaying. Additional skills such as carpentry or plastering would be desirable, as well as the ability to carry out other works outside of your primary trade.

General Operative

Duties and Responsibilities: General Operatives are involved in a range of practical tasks that help skilled construction workers; this may include:
- Digging trenches
- Mix and lay concrete
- Operate machinery
- Use equipment such as cement mixers, drills and pumps
- Move, load and unload materials
- Sweeping and generally keeping the site tidy
- Fetching materials required from merchants
- Qualifications and Experience: Personal Qualities As a General Operative, you’ll need:
- Physical fitness, strength and stamina to cope with lifting and bending .
- A head for heights.
- To be able to understand instructions and carry them out reliably and efficiently .
- General knowledge of health and safety issues.
The majority of work is outdoors, so you should be prepared to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
You must have a clean full driving licence and must have held it for over 1 year.
