Residential Remodel and Refurbishment, Kingsdown

We have successfully completed the full renovation and remodelling of this existing property in Kingsdown, transforming the dwelling through extensive structural, architectural and services upgrades, together with a comprehensive programme of high-specification internal finishes.

The project included the replacement of the existing roof, extensive external repairs and improvements, a complete internal refurbishment, and the installation of new electrical, plumbing and heating systems throughout.

External Works

The existing roof was fully stripped and replaced, with new insulation and a weatherproof membrane installed before the application of new slate coverings. All lead gutters and flashings were also replaced, providing a durable and weather-tight finish to the building.

External works included the repair and upgrading of the existing timber windows, together with render repairs and comprehensive external redecoration. Temporary protection measures, including full scaffolding and a temporary roof, were installed at the outset to protect the existing fabric of the building while the roofing works were undertaken.

Internal Renovation

Internally, the property underwent a complete transformation. The works began with a comprehensive soft strip, followed by damp treatment to the external walls and a number of minor structural alterations, including the installation of two new staircases.

A completely new underfloor heating system was installed throughout, alongside a full rewire and comprehensive overhaul of the plumbing services. The upgraded mechanical installations included a new boiler and pressurised hot water cylinder, providing modern and efficient services throughout the property.

Bespoke Interiors

The completed design incorporates a high level of bespoke detailing and craftsmanship. The interiors have been comprehensively refurbished and upgraded, with a bespoke kitchen, custom-made wardrobes and fitted storage, and feature panelling incorporated throughout the property.

The bathrooms and ensuites have also been fully refurbished, complemented by new floor finishes and complete internal redecoration. The result is a cohesive, high-specification interior that combines contemporary comfort and functionality with the character of the existing dwelling.
