P A Hollingworth & Co Ltd were contracted to provide a new, modern well-appointed family home whilst providing a home designed for disabled occupancy.

The property has been traditionally constructed with a basement below ground and two further floors over. The basement has been formed in cast waterproof concrete with a further membrane added to the external face and an additional, pumped system, Delta membrane added to the inside of the walls. It is unusual to construct using 3 methods of waterproofing when 2 will usually suffice, however belt and braces have been employed throughout this project. The ground floor has been built over a suspended, cast steel and concrete floor and the external walls are of brick and block with an insulated cavity. The first floor is of the same construction external walls over a suspended timber & steel floor. All floors are linked with a beautiful natural timber staircase and a lift as an alternative option. . All under a pitched roof of truss construction with Staffordshire clay tile covering. Underfloor heating has been installed throughout the property.

The basement is set out as a full therapy suite including a swimming/therapy pool, disabled changing, showering and WC facilities, family showering and WC facilities, a therapy/exercise room and all utility and heating services along with storage. The complete basement is set up with an overhead track and hoist system for ease of use. The ground floor provides a large open plan living space complete with a modern kitchen with “rise and fall” wall units and worktops. A separate utility/laundry room, a large WC, a snug/family room, a study area, a large entrance hall and access to an integral garage containing control systems for the property and vehicle charging point. The first floor provides 4 bedrooms, 2 with balcony views, a Master en-suite and 1 other with en-suite and a family bathroom. The master bedroom/ensuite is linked with an overhead hoist rail for ease of use and some doors provide powered operation

The property was completed in March 2021 following extensive delays caused by the Covid 19 pandemic and access to materials.
