P A Hollingworth was employed to undertake the successful execution of a comprehensive asbestos removal and fire safety upgrade project at a local school. The aim of the project was to ensure a safe learning environment for students and staff by addressing both health risks posed by asbestos and enhancing fire safety measures, including door upgrades, compartmentation, and fire alarm systems. The work was carried out with minimal disruption to the school’s daily activities, ensuring the safety of all involved while meeting regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Asbestos Removal: Safely remove all asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) from the building to protect students, staff, and visitors from potential exposure.
Fire Safety Upgrades: Implement upgrades to fire safety systems, including:
– Fire Doors: Install new fire-rated doors throughout the school to ensure safe evacuation routes and prevent fire spread.
– Compartmentation: Enhance compartmentalisation of fire-prone areas to contain fire and smoke within specific zones.
