During our time at the school undertaking the RAAC replacement works, we were subsequently appointed to undertake the fire safety upgrade works throughout the rest of the school. The fire safety upgrades at the school were essential for improving the overall fire protection and management systems.

The school underwent a comprehensive fire safety audit of the entire school building, identifying risks and deficiencies in fire protection and evacuation routes. We were then employed to undertake upgrades to the following:

– Fire Detection and Alarm Systems: Replacing old fire detection systems with modern, integrated solutions for enhanced reliability and response time.

– Fire Doors: Installing BM Trada-certified fire-resistant doors throughout the premises, particularly in high-risk areas such as kitchens, mechanical rooms, and corridors.

– Installed Fire Barriers and Compartmentation: Improving fire compartmentation to slow the spread of smoke and fire. New fire barriers were added to key areas of the building.

– Emergency Lighting and Signage: Upgrading the emergency lighting system to ensure safe evacuation paths and visibility in case of power outages, alongside the installation of clear signage for emergency evacuation routes.
