New in-ground external swimming pool to include surround and plant room. Pool dimensions 10.0 x 4.0m with inset roman step end to allow Coverstar safety cover to close over the steps encapsulating the complete pool surface with the cover to provide both safety and a debris barrier. The pool consists of a 1.2m shallow end sloping to a 1.8m deep end lined with Extreme pool lining tailor-made and fitted to pool on-site with tiled effect. The cover star pit is positioned at the deep end which facilitates removal of the cover, using a hydraulic motor, into the pit hidden from sight below ground when the pool is in use. This cover is key operated which affords the clients security in terms of pool safety in the garden. The pool surround is finished using a porcelain tile with a natural stone effect and the plant room is fitted with a full filtration system including saltwater chlorinator and air source heat pump.
This pool required groundwater extraction around the pool. This was achieved using a network of strategically placed 110mm perforated water collection pipework, connected to a sump and pump system to lift and disperse any groundwater that may build up during the winter months. High groundwater levels around a pool can cause damage to the pool structure. Also, in this case, the liner can move or be damaged if neutral buoyancy is achieved when the water table is close to the same height as the pool water level.
