P.A.Hollingworth & Co staff entered into the spirit of Eastry St Mary’s Church fete this summer.
Two teams were entered into the annual Tug-of-War competition and following some great fun and a lot of barracking they met in the final which was won on 2-1 pulls by the ‘A’ team which was not surprising considering the 102 stone total mass of the ‘A’ team despite the fact that the whole village joined in on the side of the ‘B’ team on the final pull.
Our thanks and continued support goes out to all the organisers and we will return to defend our title next year. We would also like to thank The Five Bells public house in the village, who not only lost to us in an early round they also made great hosts for some merry making and celebrations following the event.
